Founding Engineer (m/w/d)

Job Description

We're looking for a Founding Engineer to build the software that powers how M&A Advisors, Private Equity & Search Funds work. You'll work closely with the founding team to turn complex deal workflows into intuitive software, build AI-powered features, and shape the architecture of our platform. From early product ideas to production, you'll own what you build across the stack.

    Your Profile

    • Strong experience (2-3+ years) shipping full-stack products with TypeScript, React, Next.js and Node.js, ideally in data-heavy B2B applications
    • Strong PostgreSQL and ORM skills, with an understanding of secure, multi-tenant architectures and Row-Level-Security
    • Hands-on experience integrating LLMs into products through tool calling, streaming and RAG
    • A good eye for UI & UX and the ability to turn rough ideas into polished interfaces
    • An entrepreneurial & problem-solving, high-agency mentality
    • Strong organizational & prioritization skills
    • Excellent communication skills in English and preferrably German

    Your Tasks

    • Build and improve our B2B web application using Next.js, React and TypeScript in a shared Turborepo monorepo
    • Turn product ideas and client feedback into responsive, intuitive UI using Tailwind CSS and our shared shadcn/ui component library
    • Design and develop backend services with Hono, Drizzle ORM and PostgreSQL, including APIs, relational schemas and database migrations
    • Own permissions and data isolation across organizations and projects, from application-level access controls to PostgreSQL Row-Level Security
    • Own testing, deployment and monitoring, ensuring reliability and performance across the stack
    • Work closely with the founding team to shape product priorities, technical architecture and engineering standards
